Wallpaper instructions

With this work description you have wallpapered your wall in no time, without bubbles! Because the strips are preprinted, you don't have to puzzle with the patterns. The strips fit together perfectly. Doubting how many rolls you need or do you have any questions? Send us an e-mail and we will help you.

Good preparation is half the battle.
  • Step 1. Preparation

What do you need? Wallpaper paste (bijv. Perfax Ready&Roll), wallpaper roller (of wall paint roller), wallpaper spatula, bucket with warm water and soft cloth, sharp stanleyknife and a big scissor.

Everything you need at home? Time for the rest of the preparation. The smoother your wall, the better the result will be. Make sure the wall is smooth and dry and fill any gaps with wall filler. Then sand the wall filler as smooth as possible. Never paste the wallpaper on top of existing wallpaper and remove any residue. Make sure that the wall is an even color, otherwise you will see the color difference through the wallpaper. What a shame! Treat a absorbent wall first with a primer.

  • Step 2. Cut & layout

Cut the strips off the roll and arrange them in the correct order. Read the extra tip at the bottom of the blog. Keep a close eye on what the bottom and top of the strips are. The second strip is rotated 180 degrees, so you turn it around before sticking it down. Roll up the strips so that you have the top end in your hands first. Start with strip 1 and always work from left to right.

  • gluing and sticking
  • Step 3. Gluing and sticking

Apply a thin layer of wallpaper paste to a section of the wall, approximately 50-60 cm wide. Use a roller to spread the paste evenly. Make sure that the corners and edges are also covered with paste. Apply the first strip to the wall from top to bottom. Once the strip is in place, smooth it out with a wallpaper scraper. This will push any excess paste to the sides. Cut away the excess paper at the top and bottom.

  • Step 4. Some more gluing and sticking

Repeat step 3 until all strips are on the wall. Stick the strips as tightly together as possible so that the pattern continues.

  • Step 5. Let it dry

Allow the wallpaper to dry thoroughly and remove any adhesive residue immediately with a damp, soft cloth.
